The Indian Psychiatric Society Andhra Pradesh State Branch, a distinguished association established in 1981 under the aegis of the Indian Psychiatric Society, serves as a pivotal force in advancing mental health services in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Aligned with the Zonal Branch Indian Psychiatric Society South Zonal Branch, the society is committed to holistic development and awareness in the field of mental health.

Objectives:

The primary objectives of the society encompass the overall enhancement of mental health services in Andhra Pradesh.

To achieve its objectives, the society conducts an annual conference and Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program, catering to both practitioners and postgraduates, utilizing both physical and virtual formats for enhanced participation and accessibility, providing a platform for professionals to exchange knowledge and insights

Promoting Psychiatry:

In a proactive effort to instil an interest in psychiatry among medical students, the society conducts a quiz competition. This initiative not only fosters awareness but also encourages the pursuit of excellence in the field among the future generation of medical professionals.
